Upon return, students immediately initiate an intense series of modules on selecting, sequencing, editing, theory, and output during a two-weeks pop-up field school. This phase of Organizing, Editing, & Analysis center on the production of a series of key and relational Sequences roughly assembled from the footage. This chronological assembly prepares them for the final phase of Montage. Supported by group work and class feedback in the Thesis Seminar, students begin to formulate and rehearse their ethnographic arguments through strategies of remix and and scene construction.
